Premchand is certainly the best Hindi author I have read till now. He is as good with short stories (in this book) as novels. I feel Premchand wanted to highlight the plight of women, showcase some progressive thoughts regarding women, children and downtrodden people in the society through the stories in /5. Munshi Premchand was born on the 31st of July in a village called Lamhi. Munshi Premchand was named as Dhanpat Rai by his parents. Munshi Premchand did his initial schooling in Madrasa. He also learned Urdu and Persian from a Maulvi in Madrasa. Munshi Premchand began his tryst with books, especially fiction at a very young age. The story of a grain of wheat must be at the same time the story of a sack of flour and the story of a loaf of bread, in order to be at all comprehensive, and yet we may not, for lack of space, dwell upon the technical making of flour or the baking of bread. Munshi Premchand - the Great Hindi Story Writer. Munshi Premchand is one of most prolific and important story teller in Hindi & Urdu.

Whatever he wrote himself and experienced, he belonged to the rare category of writers who became a legend. It is ten years since Volume 1 of The World Wheat Book was completed and the intervening years have seen many changes in the world economy, in agriculture in the countries where wheat is grown, and major developments in the techniques of wheat second volume therefore updates, but does not replace, the first volume by adding to the countries discussed, giving an update on agronomy 5/5(1).
